Where You Will Be Working
Our client's clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 to 18. The unit caters to young people with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, including mood disorders, acute psychosis, and other complex needs. This may also include neurodevelopmental disorders such as mild learning disabilities or autism, and conditions like disordered eating.
What You Will Be Doing
With experience in the NHS or private care, you will lead the nursing team to provide high-quality care and support to young people within a mental health setting, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.
As a Ward Manager, you will empower recovery and supervise staff across the ward to deliver exceptional healthcare. You will work alongside senior nursing staff to manage the on-call service and ward budgets, and lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team. Your leadership will foster a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives for the better.
Other Duties Include:
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise
- Offering leadership and guidance to support a unified service and engaged workforce
- Ensuring high standards are maintained and improved within the Clinical Governance framework
- Supervising all nursing staff effectively
- Serving as an expert resource on nursing care within the specialism
- Maintaining a positive and collaborative environment to help ward members reach their potential and deliver high-quality care, staff welfare, and training
- Taking charge of the ward when designated
What You Will Have:
- A relevant nursing qualification
- NMC registration
- A positive attitude and naturally caring and compassionate nature

- Relevant experience in a similar environment
