Job Title: Band 7 Clinical Manager (Nurse)

Salary: £52,932 - £69,605 per annum
Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a dedicated and experienced manager to oversee a caseload of service users and staff teams within our client's adult disability service. This role involves ensuring that care programmes are continually reviewed, monitored, and updated based on the assessed needs and wishes of the service users, in line with professional and service standards. The post holder will manage staff supporting service users in their tenancies and will be responsible for managing the allocated budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical:
- Coordinate assessments and care programmes for service users with complex needs.
- Lead and review care programmes ensuring they meet the service users' needs and wishes.
- Oversee risk assessment processes to ensure the wellbeing of service users.
- Lead teams in emergency situations to ensure service user needs are met.
- Promote service user involvement in care planning and delivery.
Training and Education:
- Promote health and wellbeing of service users and their significant others.
- Develop learning programmes for staff and act as a mentor or supervisor.
- Ensure a conducive learning environment and identify training needs.
- Deliver training and participate in staff development programmes.
Leadership/Management:
- Coordinate staff teams and ensure effective communication.
- Act as a professional role model, promoting high standards of practice.
- Ensure staff are aware of organisational policies and procedures.
- Oversee professional development reviews and manage performance issues.
- Manage budget and resources for care delivery.
- Lead in the recruitment and retention of team members.
- Monitor and manage staff sickness and maintain staff records.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage conflict and act as an advocate for service users and staff.
- Ensure all communications meet organisational and professional standards.
Audit/Information Technology/Research:
- Coordinate audit activities within the practice setting.
- Promote evidence-based practice and lead on service development.
- Access and manage data and information systems relevant to the role.
Revalidation:
- Maintain effective registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proactively manage revalidation requirements and assist colleagues with theirs.
Key Criteria:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse
- Teaching/Mentoring qualification
- Diploma in a related field
Full Qualifications:
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent
- Degree in a related field
- Management Qualification
Skills, Knowledge, and Aptitude:
- Good IT skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Valid driving licence (negotiable)
- Leadership and management skills
- Caring and empathetic nature
- Good knowledge of learning disabilities and current best practice
