Craig Osborne
Head of Permanent Recruitment (Healthcare) & Managed Service Solutions
Since joining Sanctuary in 2016, Craig has carved an incredibly successful career in healthcare recruitment. Entering Sanctuary with over 10 years’ experience in developing customer-focused teams at top-tier financial services companies, Craig was a natural fit. He quickly grew an established community of healthcare professionals, and after six months of joining, he launched Sanctuary’s permanent healthcare division. Here, he gained a real appetite for helping clients build resilient workforces. Bringing together his blue-chip operations experience and recruitment knowledge, Craig found his niche.
Today, he continues to work with NHS and private healthcare employers across the UK to meet their permanent healthcare resourcing needs. Leading by example, he encourages his team to recruit with integrity and has developed a recruitment process that quickly finds the right candidate for every role. As a result, the retention rate for permanent candidates is over 95%. Always looking to lower agency spend and improve the candidate/client experience, he also works with the business development team on creating innovative managed service solutions.
When asked what he finds most rewarding about his role, he says, “I have complete autonomy. Provided there’s a strong business case, the opportunity exists to introduce new solutions. That’s what makes Sanctuary so special. Having the freedom to work flexibly, we’re able to see a resourcing challenge and create a solution.”
Being disciplined and focused is in Craig’s DNA. You may have seen him on Sky Sports. He's quite the sportsman, scoring a hat trick in the FA Cup and reaching No.1 in the UK for American Pool. He also uses his experience to inspire young people to grasp the future they want by guest speaking for Futures First. He has also participated in several fundraising events, including a 24-hour and 48-hour Pool marathon and two skydives. His main passion in life, though, is spending time with his son, Reggie, who he absolutely adores.
