The salary for this permanent Deputy Ward Manager job is £40,014 - £43,313.92 per annum.

Main Duties:
- Assist the Ward Manager with the daily management and supervision of the ward, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to protocols.
- Support the Ward Manager in overseeing and supervising a team of registered and unregistered staff, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Implement best practices throughout the ward, promoting high standards of care and consistency in service delivery.
- Facilitate and support service changes, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous improvement in care quality.
- Provide clinical leadership for the service, guiding the team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Contribute to the delivery of personalised care and actively participate in initiatives aimed at service improvement.
- Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure integrated and effective patient care.
- Implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the broader care programme, ensuring they meet the needs of individual patients.
- Assist the Ward Manager in ensuring that care and treatment provided meet regulatory standards, maintaining compliance with all relevant guidelines and policies.
Requirements of the Deputy Ward Manager:
- Current NMC Registration with up-to-date Revalidation.
- Certified Mentor with experience in clinical supervision (training in clinical supervision is advantageous).
- Demonstrated commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD) with a clear intent to further develop professional skills and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in computer skills and familiar with relevant software.
- Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services is required.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience or equivalent in a relevant field.
