In September 2023, they opened a new 10-bed male adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), marking a significant step in their growth and commitment to delivering exceptional care.

About the Role

Their facility is currently divided into three specialised units:

  • EA Unit: Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward
  • AJ Unit: Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward
  • MS Unit: Acute General Adult Male-Only Ward

Job Profile

They are looking for qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses who are passionate about patient care and committed to providing a safe and therapeutic environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high standards of care for patients’ mental and physical health.
  • Acting as a role model and providing leadership to junior staff.
  • Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Engaging in supervision, appraisal, and continuous professional development.
  • Supporting recruitment and retention efforts.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

  • Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence-based practice.
  • Experience with care plans, risk assessments, and report writing.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act legislation and statutory regulations.
  • Experience in staffing, skill mix, and leading shifts.
  • Commitment to supporting junior staff and students.
