Sanctuary Personnel invites expressions of interest for a full-time Ward Manager position on our client's specialist Eating Disorder Unit. This is a permanent role with a salary range between £47,494.51 and £53,449, depending on experience.

About The Ward:

The ward is a 10-bedded, mixed-gender unit dedicated to treating individuals with eating disorders, primarily Anorexia Nervosa. The unit offers a diverse therapy programme aimed at helping patients recover, develop healthy eating behaviours, and build positive relationships with food and their weight. Patients may also present with co-morbid conditions such as Autism, PTSD, or Personality Disorders. The multi-disciplinary team (MDT) collaborates to create personalised treatment plans for all patients.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Deputy Hospital Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of the ward. This includes overseeing staff rotas, ensuring the highest standards of care, and meeting the psychological needs of service users. The role requires a compassionate leader with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both patients and staff. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, motivate their team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant healthcare management qualification or experience at ward level
  • Experience working with Eating Disorders
  • High levels of customer service
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexibility and a strong “can do” attitude

What They Offer:

  • £5,000 Welcome Bonus
  • Free Parking
  • Subsidised on-site meals
  • Employee Referral Programme (earning up to £1000)

This position offers a significant opportunity for personal and professional development. You will be managing and building a new team and service, allowing you to grow and establish constructive professional relationships with colleagues and patients. You will report directly to the Director of Clinical Services, and your experience and leadership will be vital in guiding your team.
