Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a Peripatetic Manager to join our client's dynamic team.

Main Purpose:

  • Develop and implement detailed plans for service development in line with our core aims and strategic objectives, including budget management.
  • Take responsibility for managing projects assigned by the Director of Operations, ensuring the highest quality care and treatment, tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Support existing Service Managers in meeting quality standards and step into the Service Manager role if necessary.
  • Manage organic and planned changes within services to meet new business demands.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional leadership and hands-on management support, guiding staff and influencing their practices and attitudes.
  • Assume line management responsibilities for the team and lead clinicians, providing operational support and direction to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Oversee recruitment, employment, and working practices, ensuring compliance with Employment Law and contractual obligations. This includes providing induction, training, and support to meet statutory responsibilities, with a focus on our aims, values, and high-performance standards.
  • Actively participate in the Operations Group and take on additional responsibilities as needed, such as investigations, disciplinary hearings, and management support for other services.
  • Promote a culture of exceptional customer responsiveness across the region, including service users, families, purchasers, referrers, and professional partners. This may involve working unsocial hours or overnight stays.
  • Ensure person-centred practices and planning are integral to all projects and service delivery models, maximising service user inclusion at all levels.
  • Prepare and distribute summary reports to relevant stakeholders within agreed timeframes.
  • Lead service review and development in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring professional and timely reports.
  • Demonstrate strong people skills to keep your team motivated.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as directed, balancing immediate needs with the long-term vision while engaging with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that environmental standards are of the highest quality and fully compliant with both internal and external regulations.
  • Monitor quality standards using agreed audit and governance outcome measures, working with Quality Assurance and Health and Safety teams to drive continuous improvements.
  • Review all areas of risk management within the designated location regularly.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the role as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Travel as required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

About You:

They're looking for someone with:

  • QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements, such as Care Quality Commission regulations and outcomes.
  • Five years’ experience in managing Supported Living Services, Homecare Agencies, and Housing legislation and regulations.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
