Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a Service Manager to join our client's dynamic team.

Their 33-bed service specialises in providing exceptional long-term nursing care for individuals and families coping with acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions, including Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis. Their commitment is to be there for you every step of the way. In addition, our client offers level 2 rehabilitation for those who have sustained a brain injury. Their multidisciplinary neurorehabilitation team includes neuro-occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuro-physiotherapists, neuropsychologists, and rehabilitation nurses.

Main Purpose

  • Take overall responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the service, ensuring the highest quality standards of care and treatment are provided, driven by individual needs.
  • Lead, manage, and direct a multidisciplinary team to achieve aims and objectives aligned with our strategic plan and the needs of those we support.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant legislation, and obtain and maintain registration as the Registered Manager with the CQC.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide professional leadership and ‘hands-on’ management support, guiding staff activities and influencing their practices and attitudes.
  • Assume line management responsibilities for the senior management team and lead clinicians, providing operational support and direction. Ensure performance standards are identified and met. Oversee the setting and monitoring of budgets, capital, and revenue within the location, ensuring agreed staffing levels are maintained unless exceptions are authorised in writing.
  • Take overall responsibility for recruitment, employment, and working practices, ensuring compliance with Employment Law and contractual obligations. This includes providing induction, training, and support as required by statutory responsibilities, with a focus on our aims, values, and high-performance standards. Manage annual leave for all staff to ensure the safe running of the service at all times.

About You

They are looking for individuals with:

  • QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements such as Care Quality Commission regulations and outcomes.
  • 5 years’ experience managing registered care homes.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
