Sanctuary Personnel is proud to recruit for a leading healthcare provider in Guernsey. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Midwifery Leader to join their maternity services team. This is an opportunity to provide expert clinical leadership, promote high standards of care, and support a dedicated team of midwives.
About the Service:
The integrated Midwifery, Paediatric, and Neonatal service provides comprehensive care to approximately 500 women and their families each year. The unit consists of an antenatal/postnatal ward, labour ward, antenatal clinic, day assessment clinic, and transitional care. The team is dedicated to upholding the CARE Values Document, ensuring that care is safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes seven consultant obstetricians, fostering high-risk pregnancy support and promoting midwifery-led care. Training and development are central, with offerings including PROMPT and UNICEF-accredited breastfeeding courses.

About the Role:
- Lead the development and delivery of maternity services, ensuring safe and compassionate care.
- Mentor midwifery staff, manage rotas, and facilitate training and development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to clinical governance, audits, and service enhancements.
- Act as a clinical role model, upholding high standards of practice and communication.

Requirements:
- Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration and a Diploma in Midwifery (Degree to be achieved by 2nd gateway).
