We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to join our client’s Cardiothoracic Surgical Inpatients team. In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact within a cutting-edge hospital that offers advanced technology and a patient-centered approach. You’ll work within a 12-bed surgical ward and 6-bed Intensive Care Unit, caring for patients undergoing complex surgeries across cardiology, gastrointestinal, orthopaedics, and more.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you’ll provide high-quality clinical care and lead by example, mentoring and guiding junior staff. Your role will be critical in upholding our client’s commitment to excellence in patient care. Shifts include long days, nights and weekends Monday - Sunday.

What do you need?

  • Experience in a surgical inpatient setting
  • Expertise in post-operative care, especially for cardiothoracic surgery (cardiac course desirable)
  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (First Level)
  • Willingness to undertake relevant post-registration courses
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Experience in mentoring or preceptorship of junior staff
