The salary for this permanent Senior Staff Nurse job is £37,992 - £40,455 per annum plus £5,000 welcome bonus!

Main Duties:

  • Supervise a designated team and actively contribute to their Continuous Professional Development (CPD), mandatory training, and appraisal processes, recognizing the diverse skill sets within the team.
  • Monitor and revise Nursing Care plans as necessary.
  • Assess and promptly respond to changes in patients' conditions and needs.
  • Provide exceptional care to individuals grappling with mental illness and personality disorders.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships to enhance patient engagement and outcomes.
  • Collaborate in patient assessments, developing personalised care plans, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities at a senior level, including overseeing shifts, mentoring student nurses, and providing support to team members.
  • Adhere to all codes of conduct, standards, and legislation, ensuring the rights of individuals are respected and ethical practices are promoted.

Requirements of the Senior Staff Nurse:

  • A relevant nursing qualification and NMC registration
  • Exceptional teamwork abilities, high self-motivation, and adaptability, as our units operate 24/7, with consideration for flexible working patterns
  • Dedication to patient-centered care and adherence to values-based, evidence-based practice
