Salary: £52,905 - £59,717 per annum

Job Overview

Our client is a respite home dedicated to children with complex health, physical, and developmental needs. Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a passionate nurse to work with our client, who enjoys creating a joyful and engaging environment for children and young people. This role requires a bit of an outgoing personality and a creative spirit to foster opportunities for play and development. Your experience working with children with similar needs using a person-centred approach, amplifying the voice of the child, is crucial to their practice.

As part of their team, you will support their skilled staff in maintaining high levels of clinical oversight, developing practices based on new learning, and contributing to our client's business plan for clinical development. Paediatric nurses with experience in learning disabilities are preferred.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will act as a practitioner with professional accountability to effectively plan, deliver, and evaluate care for a group of patients with various conditions within a recognised clinical area. This role spans multiple clinical areas within both acute and community services, requiring the ability to manage complex or high-risk patients and provide guidance and support to less experienced staff. You may also need to take charge of the ward or team, leading with confidence.

  • Stay updated with developments in your professional discipline and clinical practices.
  • Contribute to creating a therapeutic environment for patients.

Nursing Practice

  • Coordinate care for individual patients or groups by consistently compiling care plans that meet treatment goals.
  • Enhance nursing practice through evidence-based research.
  • Set and maintain clinical standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits and act as a role model in care delivery.
  • Perform investigations and treatments proficiently, potentially as an independent supplementary prescriber.
  • Uphold effective infection prevention practices.
  • Provide high-quality advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, incorporating health promotion themes.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all individuals within your care.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and produce high-quality patient information.
