Job Overview:

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a nurse with ambition to work in Dermatology within our client's clinic setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective and competent care across various clinical areas within acute and community services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of patient care, acting as a role model for peers, patients, and relatives.
  • Supervise Healthcare Assistants, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory responsibilities and actively participate in relevant activities.

  • Apply NMC Code (2015) guidelines to maintain trust and credibility.
  • Stay updated with developments in clinical and nursing practices, sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Contribute to creating a therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Maintain a professional portfolio showcasing continual skill and knowledge acquisition.
  • Coordinate care for individual patients or groups, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Enhance nursing practice by engaging in evidence-based practice.
  • Set and maintain clinical standards, participate in clinical audits, and act as a role model in care delivery.
  • Perform investigations and treatments to defined standards, with potential to act as an independent and supplementary prescriber.
  • Uphold high standards of infection prevention and challenge poor practice.
  • Provide high-quality advice and act as a health promoter.
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding and welfare of all patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and produce high-quality patient information.
  • Lead and direct the team when required, promoting team goals and effective supervision.
  • Participate in lifelong learning and assist junior staff in achieving learning objectives.
  • Contribute to the physical environment and risk management plans.
  • Support ongoing infection control audits within the clinical area.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: 1st Level Registered Nurse with NMC Registration.
  • Desirable: Level 2 vocational award in health and social care, Teaching and Mentorship qualification.

Skills and Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of the NMC Code (2015).
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Basic keyboard skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in general nursing.
