About the Role:
Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's exceptional Inpatients department. As a member of this team, you will work under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Consultant Surgeons to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing both outpatient and inpatient procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive role model for the team and advocate for patients, ensuring a supportive and positive experience.
- Provide expert knowledge and support in planning and delivering patient care, including treatment and aftercare.
- Operate within a governance framework, adhering to national and local regulatory requirements, as well as clinical and professional standards.
- Maintain clinical competency through ongoing learning and development.
- Offer support and supervision to junior staff members as needed.
- Promote high standards of clinical care and contribute to the development of the cosmetic service.
- Report to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and take on delegated responsibilities in their absence.
Skills and Experience Required:
- First Level Registered Nurse with evidence of continuing professional development and revalidation.
- Relevant healthcare degree or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in a surgical nursing environment.
- Knowledge of wound care and tissue viability, or willingness to undertake relevant training.
- Experience or willingness to train in preoperative assessment.
- Skills in phlebotomy and ECG.
- ILS training and mentorship qualification.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Methodical approach with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with audit processes or willingness to learn.
