Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's Emergency Department in Guernsey.
Job Summary:
They are looking for enthusiastic, motivated senior staff nurses who can work under pressure without supervision. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in an emergency environment, including Adult and Paediatric Resuscitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the emergency rota to provide hospital-wide emergency teams for adults and paediatrics, acting as the lead nurse.
- Regularly take charge of the Emergency Department, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Show evidence of training and development in emergency nursing, including ALS/EPLS and ideally ATNC.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cannulation, venepuncture, and plastering.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care programmes without supervision.
- Supervise junior staff, participate in the induction of new staff, and serve as a role model.
Requirements:
- NMC registration as an RMN or RGN.
- Degree or equivalent in nursing.
- Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in an emergency setting, including Adult and Paediatric Resuscitation.
