Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead anaesthetic services in a variety of surgical specialties, ensuring high standards of patient care
  • Provide expert anaesthetic advice and support to the clinical team
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including anaesthetic trainees and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to patient care planning
  • Deliver pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients undergoing anaesthesia
  • Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations and guidelines
  • Engage in clinical governance activities, including audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Take part in continuing professional development (CPD) and education activities

Requirements:

  • Current GMC Specialist Registration
  • Recent UK experience at Consultant level
