  • Continuously monitor and improve the quality of teaching content and delivery, ensuring integration with clinical placements and student experiences.
  • Work with education providers to ensure uniform placement experiences across clinical sites.
  • Provide expert clinical care in Respiratory and General Medicine, with a focus on both elective and emergency settings.
  • Participate in out-patient and in-patient duties, including in-reach into the medical admissions unit and on-call rotations.
  • Work with module leads and subject leads to ensure student preparation for placements and alignment with curriculum goals.
  • Contribute to wider medical school activities, such as admissions, tutoring, assessments, and committee participation.
  • Review and respond to feedback from student surveys, staff-student committees, and external examiners.

Requirements:

  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Specialist Registration in Geriatrics and General Internal Medicine (GIM).
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or eligibility within six months of the interview.
  • Relevant CESR or European Community Rights.
  • High level of clinical competence and experience in Respiratory and General Medicine.
  • Completed Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in the relevant specialty or equivalent competency.
