Role Overview

As a Cross-Sectional Radiologist Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing your expertise to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Your work will help us continue to improve patient care and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert diagnostic imaging services, including CT, MRI, and ultrasound, to patients referred to the trust.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues to interpret imaging results, contribute to patient management plans, and ensure a patient-centred approach.
  • Participate in a 1:12 on-call rota, providing timely and expert advice to clinicians.
  • Uphold and adhere to ULHT policies, professional guidelines, and legal requirements to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advancements in radiology and imaging techniques.
  • Support and mentor junior radiologists and allied health professionals, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and research initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
