As part of this Trust, you will work alongside a talented multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing standards of care and improving outcomes in Clinical Haematology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care for patients, offering expert opinions on a wide range of haematological conditions, both emergency and elective.
- Lead on the diagnosis and treatment of haematological disorders, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical governance activities to uphold and enhance care standards.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
- Take full and independent responsibility for clinical decision-making and patient management.
- Support teaching, training, and mentoring of junior doctors and medical staff.
- Engage in research and development opportunities to contribute to advancements in Clinical Haematology.
Essential Requirements:
- Full and Specialist Registration with a current licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC), or eligibility for registration within six months of the interview.
- For UK-trained applicants, possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or within six months of CCT award at the time of the interview.
- For non-UK-trained applicants, evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT is required.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive clinical training and experience in Haematology, meeting the standards required for CCT in Pathology.
- A high level of clinical skill and expertise in Haematology and Pathology.
- Ability to provide expert clinical opinions on a range of haematological issues.
- Commitment to clinical governance and delivering exceptional care to patients.
- Proven ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care.
