Sanctuary Personnel is looking for experienced Band 5 Registered Nurses to join a private wing in Guernsey, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care, while also supervising and mentoring both qualified and unqualified staff. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest standards of care in line with the ward's philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients within your scope of practice.
- Deliver care in accordance with the ward philosophy and nursing procedures.
- Act as a role model to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Supervise and support junior nurses and nursing assistants.
- Lead and mentor staff, helping them achieve competencies and professional development.
- Provide guidance and support to new staff during orientation and induction.
- Act as the ward coordinator in the absence of senior staff.
- Participate in formal appraisals and development reviews to set professional goals.
- Coordinate and lead the nursing team, supporting the delivery of patient care.
- Safeguard patient and staff welfare by adhering to safety policies.
- Comply with infection control, fire safety, and other health and safety regulations.
- Maintain competence in basic life support and emergency procedures.
