Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in Post-Anaesthesia Recovery, managing both straightforward and complex cases.
- Develop and implement tailored nursing care plans using the nursing process.
- Advocate for patients, ensuring clear and compassionate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Participate in patient care conferences and utilize available resources efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring the proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Lead and mentor other nursing personnel, taking on in-charge responsibilities as required.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and staying informed on best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
- At least two years of continuous experience in a PACU or similar acute care setting.
- Certifications in CPR, ACLS/ECG monitoring, and IV therapy.
- Proven experience in patient assessment and strong clinical competencies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment substance abuse screening is required.
