Work in Bermuda – Registered Nurse - ACW PACU (Acute)
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care for a range of cases, from simple to complex.
- Perform dependent functions in line with surgical care plans.
- Apply the nursing process to develop individualised care plans for each patient.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring effective communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Participate in patient care conferences and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilise hospital and community resources efficiently.
- Ensure safe and economical use of equipment and supplies.
- Mentor and guide other nursing personnel, assigning and teaching as necessary.
- Take on in-charge duties as required, demonstrating strong leadership.
- Engage in professional development by attending education programmes, reviewing literature, and participating in professional organisations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in a Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Required: CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), ECG monitoring, and IV Therapy.
- Preferred: Additional critical care certifications.
- Expertise in patient assessment and clinical decision-making.
- Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies in post-anaesthesia care.
- Other Requirements: Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory.
