Work in Bermuda – Registered Nurse - ACW PACU (Acute)
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays
Salary: £75,000 per annum (tax-free)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care for a range of cases, from simple to complex.
  • Perform dependent functions in line with surgical care plans.
  • Apply the nursing process to develop individualised care plans for each patient.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring effective communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Utilise hospital and community resources efficiently.
  • Ensure safe and economical use of equipment and supplies.
  • Mentor and guide other nursing personnel, assigning and teaching as necessary.
  • Take on in-charge duties as required, demonstrating strong leadership.
  • Engage in professional development by attending education programmes, reviewing literature, and participating in professional organisations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience in a Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • Required: CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), ECG monitoring, and IV Therapy.
  • Preferred: Additional critical care certifications.
  • Expertise in patient assessment and clinical decision-making.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies in post-anaesthesia care.
  • Other Requirements: Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory.
