Job Title: Work in Bermuda - Registered Nurse - ACW PACU (Acute)
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays
Salary: £75,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, ranging from simple to complex cases
  • Perform dependent functions as indicated in the surgical plan of care
  • Utilise the nursing process to develop a nursing care plan for each assigned patient
  • Act as a patient advocate, facilitating communication between patients, families, and other healthcare team members
  • Initiate and participate in patient care conferences
  • Utilise clinical, hospital, and community resources effectively
  • Use equipment and supplies safely and economically
  • Assign, teach, and direct other nursing personnel as required
  • Assume in-charge duties as necessary
  • Commit to professional development by participating in continuing education programmes, staying current with professional literature, and engaging in professional organisations

Qualifications & Registration Required:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution
  • Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council
  • Minimum of two years of continuous employment/experience in a current Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
  • Current certifications in CPR, ACLS/ECG monitoring, and IV
  • Strong experience in patient assessment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies
