Work in Bermuda - Registered Nurse - ACW PACU (Acute)
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays
Salary: £75,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, high-quality patient care for a range of cases from simple to complex.
  • Execute dependent functions as outlined in each patient's surgical care plan.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans using the nursing process.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, facilitating communication with patients, families, and the care team.
  • Lead and contribute to patient care conferences and discussions.
  • Efficiently utilise hospital and community resources for optimal patient care.
  • Ensure safe and cost-effective use of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide nursing support staff as needed.
  • Take on in-charge responsibilities as required.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through education and professional associations.

Qualifications & Registration Required:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
  • Minimum of two years of continuous experience in a Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • Current certifications in CPR, ACLS/ECG monitoring, and IV Therapy.
  • Strong patient assessment skills and clinical competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory.
