Sanctuary Personnel is excited to partner with a leading healthcare provider in Bermuda to recruit a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in the Acute Care Wing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse during diverse operative procedures, including Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Trauma Emergencies, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, ENT, Maternity, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular, and Plastics.
  • Assist anaesthetists as an Anaesthetic Nurse, ensuring seamless care during induction and throughout the anaesthetic period.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ clinical conditions during procedures, taking prompt action to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Act as a Charge Nurse and team leader when required, utilizing available clinical, hospital, and community resources effectively.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and contribute to approved research projects as needed.
  • Serve as a preceptor/mentor and role model, supporting new and junior staff as well as peers.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing professional development through continuing education, training, and staying current with best practices and professional literature.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (BNC).
  • At least two years of continuous experience in an Operating Room setting.
  • Current certifications in CPR and IV therapy (ACLS certification preferred).
  • Proven expertise in physical assessment and demonstrated clinical competencies.
