About the Role
Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a passionate and motivated Staff Nurse to join the Acute Adult Mental Health Team in Guernsey. Main Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and provide nursing care within your expertise.
- Act as a key contact for patients, families, and carers, ensuring com+passionate and person-centred care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate care.
- Support and mentor junior staff, contributing to their professional growth.
- Gain experience in leadership roles under the guidance of senior team members.
- Lead care coordination and service delivery in the absence of senior staff.
- Facilitate complex discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Demonstrate empathy and effective communication in challenging situations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through training and clinical supervision.
- Act as a health promoter, providing education to patients and families.
- Participate in audits and care improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with NMC registration.
- Motivation for service improvement and willingness to engage in care enhancement projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to flexible working to support 24-hour service delivery.
- Knowledge of the Recovery Model and evidence-based practice.
- Current and valid driving licence.
