Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a passionate and motivated Staff Nurse to join the Acute Adult Mental Health Team in Guernsey. Main Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and provide nursing care within your expertise.
  • Act as a key contact for patients, families, and carers, ensuring com+passionate and person-centred care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate care.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, contributing to their professional growth.
  • Gain experience in leadership roles under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Lead care coordination and service delivery in the absence of senior staff.
  • Facilitate complex discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Demonstrate empathy and effective communication in challenging situations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and clinical supervision.
  • Act as a health promoter, providing education to patients and families.
  • Participate in audits and care improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with NMC registration.
  • Motivation for service improvement and willingness to engage in care enhancement projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to flexible working to support 24-hour service delivery.
  • Knowledge of the Recovery Model and evidence-based practice.
  • Current and valid driving licence.
