As a Registered Nurse in the Continuing Care (Acute) team, you will:
- Deliver direct patient care for cases ranging from routine to complex.
- Implement medical care plans and contribute to the development of tailored care strategies for each patient.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring effective communication between families, patients, and healthcare professionals.
- Lead or participate in patient care conferences to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Utilise hospital and community resources efficiently while ensuring the safe and economical use of equipment and supplies.
- Provide leadership by assigning, teaching, and mentoring other nursing personnel as needed.
- Assume Team Leader duties, driving collaboration and excellence within the team.
- Commit to continuous professional development by engaging in training programs, staying current with medical literature, and participating in nursing organisations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience: At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Certifications:
- Required: CPR and IV Therapy Certification.
- Preferred: Advanced certifications reflecting experience in acute care.
- Skills: Strong physical assessment abilities, clinical expertise, and a proactive approach to patient advocacy.
