As a Registered Nurse in the Continuing Care (Acute) team, you will:

  • Deliver direct patient care for cases ranging from routine to complex.
  • Implement medical care plans and contribute to the development of tailored care strategies for each patient.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring effective communication between families, patients, and healthcare professionals.
  • Lead or participate in patient care conferences to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Utilise hospital and community resources efficiently while ensuring the safe and economical use of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide leadership by assigning, teaching, and mentoring other nursing personnel as needed.
  • Assume Team Leader duties, driving collaboration and excellence within the team.
  • Commit to continuous professional development by engaging in training programs, staying current with medical literature, and participating in nursing organisations.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience: At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: CPR and IV Therapy Certification.
    • Preferred: Advanced certifications reflecting experience in acute care.
  • Skills: Strong physical assessment abilities, clinical expertise, and a proactive approach to patient advocacy.
