Are you driven by a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have extensive experience in early years education, coupled with a dedication to ensuring every child can achieve their full potential? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Inclusion Officers to join our client's vibrant team. In these roles, you will play a key role in supporting early years SENCOs across various settings, including private, voluntary, and independent (PVI) nurseries and school nursery classes, helping to create inclusive environments where all children can thrive.

Contract Types:

  • Maternity Cover until July 2025
  • Fixed-term until March 2025

What You'll Do:

As an Inclusion Officer, you will be central to their early intervention efforts, working across different settings such as nurseries, childminders, and school nursery classes. You will provide expert advice and guidance to SENCOs and staff, assisting them in navigating the SEND Support process and implementing effective, tailored strategies to meet each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support SENCOs and staff in PVI settings, childminders, and schools to plan effectively, differentiate the curriculum, and develop interventions for children with additional needs.
  • Champion inclusive practices, ensuring all settings deliver high-quality, "ordinarily available" learning experiences.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff, helping them to confidently manage and support children with SEND.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: NNEB or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant childcare field (or equivalent), with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience: Extensive experience and a thorough understanding of the PVI childcare sector and the maintained sector, along with direct experience working with parents and carers of children under 5.
  • Expertise: A deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice 2015, early years child development, and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to manage workloads effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and advocating for inclusive education.

What You Can Expect From Our Client:

  • A competitive salary of up to £36,567 (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • A flexible approach to working arrangements, including a 35-hour working week and a flexitime scheme, to help you achieve a better work/life balance.
  • A supportive working environment with the option to work from home.
  • A generous annual leave entitlement of 27.5 days paid leave (plus bank holidays).

Join our client and contribute to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments for all children. We look forward to hearing from you!
