Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced and passionate  Maths Lecturer to join our client's dynamic educational team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire and guide students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess instruction across a variety of mathematics courses, catering to both young learners (ages 14-19) and adult students. Courses include levels from Entry Level Functional Skills (FS) up to GCSE
  • Collaborate effectively within the instructional team, maintaining close communication with the Senior Curriculum Manager and other college staff.
  • Engage proactively in personal professional development, ensuring growth in all areas related to the teaching role.
  • Instruct on various mathematics courses across community and main College campuses.
  • Participate in all aspects of the student lifecycle, including selection, interviewing, admissions, enrollment, induction, and tracking of student progress.
  • Contribute to curriculum development to meet national standards, address local community needs, and align with employment opportunities.
  • Provide students with regular, constructive feedback, as outlined in the College Charter, and offer both group and individual tutorial support to maximise their educational outcomes.
  • Liaise with employers and external agencies regarding student placements, course and assignment design, and career or higher education opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or a related field.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in successful and innovative mathematics teaching, with a willingness to share effective practices with colleagues.
  • A deep understanding of the distinctions between teaching and learning, along with the ability to critically evaluate both.
  • In-depth knowledge of the mathematics curriculum, particularly in Functional Skills and GCSE, with the ability to adapt to changes in course content and teaching methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively to diverse student groups across various age ranges, including the preparation of relevant instructional materials.
