The salary for this permanent Surgical Care Practitioner job is £50,000 to £60,000 per annum + shift allowances.
Hours/Shift: Full-time 37.5hrs per week. Monday to Sunday, shift working

Summary:
- As post holder of this role you will, be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals.
- You will have a strong knowledge and experience in operating theatres with an excellent understanding of the perioperative needs of patients, and a wide knowledge of peri-operative nursing practices and procedures.
- You must be organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary team providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload.

Requirements of the Surgical Care Practitioner:
- Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
- Recent experience in theatre nursing
- 18 months working within a similar autonomous role is desirable.
- An aptitude for clinical and operative practice
- The ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a day to day basis and plan ahead
