Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor hemodialysis treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assess patient and family needs, develop comprehensive care plans, execute interventions, and evaluate treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to review patient progress and communicate updates to the Clinical Manager or Nurse in Charge.
- Take on leadership responsibilities when needed, effectively utilizing clinical and community resources.
- Engage in unit quality improvement initiatives and contribute to research projects.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of support and professional growth.
- Use medical equipment and supplies efficiently and responsibly.
- Participate actively in committees, staff meetings, and educational programs.
- Undertake additional nursing duties and delegated medical tasks as required.
Qualifications & Registration Required:
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in Dialysis Nursing.
- Current certifications in CPR; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in physical assessment and clinical competencies.
- Completion of a formal dialysis training course is an asset.
