Key Responsibilities
- Execute physician-directed imaging procedures and assess images to ensure diagnostic accuracy and identify potential pathologies.
- Report any deviations from established quality control standards to appropriate team members.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including laser printers and PACS, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Utilize portable imaging equipment across hospital departments, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain continuous professional development and stay informed about industry advancements.
- Follow strict radiation safety and infection control practices at all times.
- Rotate through various imaging modalities (e.g., Radiology, CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Bone Density) to expand skills and gain specialized credentials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Registration or certification in Radiology, CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Bone Density.
- Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience is preferred.
- Current registration with the Allied Health Professions Council.
- ARRT/CAMRT/DCRR or equivalent certification required.
- For Level 2 certification, candidates must have Level 1 certification and additional certifications in relevant pathways (e.g., Mammography, CAT Scan, Bone Densitometry).
