Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist to join our client's dynamic team at a prestigious healthcare facility. As a vital member of the imaging department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging services that their patients rely on. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute physicians' requisitions, generating and evaluating images to facilitate diagnostic clarity and identify potential pathology. Promptly communicate any deviations from quality control standards to the Imaging Resource Technologist, Senior Imaging Technologist, or Radiologist/Cardiologist as necessary.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment and related support systems, such as laser printers and PACS, adhering to safety protocols to ensure both safety and efficiency.
- Transport and utilise portable equipment across various hospital areas for imaging procedures, adhering strictly to hospital policies, sterile techniques, and anaesthesia safety measures, particularly within critical care environments.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development by taking part in educational programmes and staying abreast of advancements in the field, thus ensuring continuous competency.
- Practice strict radiation safety and infection control measures at all times to uphold the highest standards of patient care and staff safety.
- Potentially rotate through different imaging modalities, including Radiology, CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Bone Density, to broaden experience and pursue relevant certifications.
Qualifications & Registration Requirements:
- Possession of an undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Registration or certification from an accredited programme in Radiology, CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Bone Density.
- Ideally, a minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience in the field.
- Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council.
- Current ARRT/CAMRT/DCRR or equivalent certification.
- In addition to Level 1 certification, candidates for the Level 2 Imaging Technologist role must hold one (1) or more certifications in the applicable Primary and/or Post Primary Pathways, including Mammography, Cat Scan, or Bone Densitometry.
