Locum Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician - Band 5 in The Lister Hospital, London. Earn £20 per hour. Ongoing position with flexible working hours including options of 08:30 to 16:30, 09:00 to 17:00, or 10:00 to 18:00. What you will do:
- Dispensing Medications: Prepare and supply prescription medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ward-Based Support: Collaborate with healthcare teams on hospital wards to ensure patients receive the correct medications and provide them with advice on use.
- Stock Management: Manage the ordering, storage, and distribution of medicines within the hospital to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Aseptic Preparation: Prepare sterile medications, such as chemotherapy and IV treatments, maintaining the highest standards.
- Patient Support: Educate and support patients in taking their medications correctly, enhancing their recovery process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to hospital policies and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards.
- Participate in ward top-ups to ensure seamless pharmaceutical services.
Requirements:
- GPHC registered
- NVQ3 Technician & dispensary experience
- Full Time - Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week
