Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician - Band 5 - HMP Exeter - £22.84 per hour - Full time - Ongoing

We have an exciting locum position available at HMP Exeter, offering a competitive hourly rate. This role is ongoing, providing you with the opportunity to work full time from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. What you will do:

  • Provide a medicines management service to allocated prisons, ensuring the safe supply and administration of medicines.
  • Administer medications to offenders based on valid prescriptions.
  • Oversee the ordering and supply process for repeat prescriptions.
  • Supervise dispensary assistants, ensuring high standards in dispensing service.
  • Work towards accreditation as a checking technician or medicines administration provider, if not already achieved.
  • Conduct weekly clinical visits, offering stock management and consulting services to prisoners and staff.
  • Promote inmate health in line with local and national guidelines.
