What you will do:
- Perform a comprehensive range of obstetric scans, including dating, nuchal translucency, anomaly, and growth scans.
- Undertake and interpret gynaecological ultrasound examinations.
- Formulate and issue clinical reports with precision and clarity.
- Maintain accurate patient files for seamless continuity of care.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture and interpret essential data.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high professional standards.
- Plan and manage your own workload in close association with the clinical lead.
- Assist in training budding sonographers, shaping the next generation of experts.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of diagnostic exams.
Essential Criteria:
- Registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
- Accredited by HCPS, SOR.
- Experience working with the NHS.
- Proven skills in obstetric and gynaecology ultrasounds.
- Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (Obs & Gynae).
- Excellent ultrasound skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong IT literacy and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in a maternity and gynaecology unit.
- Familiarity with Viewpoint and Soliton systems.
