The Role:
As Senior Scrub Nurse/ODP within the Orthopaedics Team, you will:
- Assist in orthopaedic surgeries including hip and knee arthroplasty, ACL reconstruction, and other specialised procedures
- Provide expert scrub assistance, ensuring sterility and smooth theatre management
- Work closely with surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
- Manage surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with infection control standards
- Deliver exceptional patient care, supporting patients before, during, and after surgery
- Maintain accurate documentation for all surgical procedures, adhering to hospital protocols
What You Will Bring With You:
- Current NMC/HCPC registration
- Experience in orthopaedic scrub (hip and knee arthroplasty, ACL reconstruction is advantageous)
- Surgical First Assist (SFA) qualification – desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
- A flexible and positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing demands
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
