Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities, occupational needs, and environmental factors.
- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient - centred goals.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' abilities in activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living , and other meaningful activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, and carers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home modifications to promote independence.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Advise on and facilitate the provision of assistive devices and adaptive technology to support patient independence.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
