About the Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll lead the way in promoting health and independence through high-quality assessments and interventions. Your role will include providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff, and you’ll be key in ensuring the delivery of specialized care for individuals with neurological conditions.
This role will see you demonstrate your expertise in:
- Occupational Engagement: Supporting individuals to participate in meaningful daily activities.
- Environmental Adaptation: Modifying environments to enhance independence.
- Skill Development: Helping individuals develop and maintain the skills needed for meaningful participation in life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior staff and student placements.
- Clinical Expertise: Deliver specialized interventions to individuals with neurological conditions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Innovation: Contribute to the development and implementation of care protocols and policies.
- Communication: Effectively liaise with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Qualifications: A degree in Occupational Therapy with current UK HCPC registration.
- Experience: Extensive clinical experience, particularly in the field of neurological conditions or complex needs.
- Specialist Knowledge: Strong clinical reasoning skills and a solid understanding of occupational therapy models and assessment techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading a team and providing support to junior staff.
