The salary for this permanent Senior Occupational Therapist job is £65,805 - £73,304 per annum.

Summary:

  • As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, the post holder will be expected to lead on Service Development, Quality Initiatives, Audit and CPD. There will be the opportunity to educate and support staff and students via supervision, appraisals, In-house team training and regular placements to OT students. Leadership skills and experience of people management are considered desirable for this post
  • This role will provide an opportunity for the post holder to continue to inform and shape the ongoing practice and development of occupational therapy within the ward environment. While working clinically on a ward to offer OT assessments and care planning.

Requirements of the Senior Occupational Therapist:

  • OT Professional Qualification and HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of training and development relevant to specialist Mental Health OT practice.
  • Evidence of training and development relevant to the acute mental health and dementia setting.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Field Work Educator accreditation.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of occupational therapy assessments and interventions, applicable to the setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise own workload across inpatient services.
  • Ability to analyse and respond efficiently to complex information/situations
