The salary for this permanent Registered Nursej ob is £34,900 - £40,455 per annum plus £5,000 welcome bonus!

Main Duties:

  • Administer prescribed care tailored to the specific needs of assigned patients
  • Collaborate with patients, their families, and caregivers to assess, plan, and deliver nursing care, while honoring patient preferences and serving as the designated nurse
  • Engage in team-based patient care alongside all members of the care team
  • Foster effective communication and relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
  • Conduct accurate assessments and monitor the progress of residents or service users
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
  • Provide clear and accessible information about care to residents, service users, and their families
  • Prioritise nursing tasks and delegate responsibilities within the shift coordination framework, ensuring a safe environment whenever feasible
  • Maintain meticulous records and promptly report incidents or concerns regarding resident well-being or staffing
  • Commit to ongoing personal and professional development to uphold contemporary nursing practices and meet revalidation requirements
  • Support and mentor new, junior, or agency staff, assisting in their induction and delivery of person-centered care
  • Complete mandatory training and competency assessments within specified timeframes
  • Cultivate positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback courteously and promptly
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions
  • Demonstrate awareness of and adherence to local safeguarding policies and procedures, including appropriate contacts with safeguarding teams
  • Ensure compliance with Mental Health, Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty standards
  • Follow Company Medicines Management policies consistently

Requirements of the Registered Nurse:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) with an active NMC PIN Registration.
  • Eagerness and drive to work within an Acute Service setting.
  • Demonstrated motivation, flexibility, and readiness to embrace new challenges.
  • Interest in contributing to an established hospital environment, working alongside a collaborative and supportive Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which offers clear pathways for patient care.
  • Strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Dedication to the development and delivery of high-quality care.
  • Possession of effective decision-making skills or willingness to cultivate them.
