Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the ICU team, you will:
- Provide Exceptional Care: Deliver direct patient care in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner.
- Critical Decision-Making: Exhibit outstanding clinical judgment in high-pressure situations.
- Care Planning: Use the nursing process to create tailored care plans for each patient.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team during patient care conferences.
- Leadership: Take on in-charge duties and guide support personnel when required.
- Resource Management: Utilise medical equipment and supplies responsibly and economically.

Qualifications & Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience: At least two years of recent, continuous experience in an ICU setting.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and IV Therapy.
- Preferred: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).
- Proficiency in physical assessments and critical care techniques.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and competency.
- Additional Requirements: Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory.
