Role Overview:
This is an ideal position for a dedicated and passionate Occupational Health Advisor who thrives in a supportive team environment and wants to make a real difference. You will be involved in delivering a wide range of occupational health services, ensuring that employees are fit for work, and supporting health and wellbeing initiatives. The role offers a great work-life balance, with regular working hours from Monday to Friday.
Shift Patterns:
- Monday - Thursday 07:15 - 16:00
- Fridays 07:15am - 11:45am Total: 37.5 HPW
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Provide expert, evidence-based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work, and other occupational health requests.
- Health Surveillance: Conduct fitness medicals and health surveillance in line with best practice and company protocols.
- Reporting & Advice: Deliver professional, comprehensive written reports and provide expert advice on legislative requirements and occupational health best practices.
- Clinical Services: Provide services such as vaccinations, travel health advice, ergonomic support, and health promotion where competent.
- Team Support: Offer clinical supervision and support to other team members, including Occupational Health Technicians.
- Medical Assessments: Conduct general medicals, spirometry, audiometry, drug and alcohol screening, fitness-for-role assessments, and more.
- Professional Development: Maintain up-to-date registration with the NMC and continue professional learning and development as a registered nurse.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health
- Postgraduate Qualification in Occupational Health (Degree/Diploma)
- Valid NMC Registration (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
- Experience in General Medicals and Health Surveillance
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging content to both clients and employees
