The salary for this permanent Senior Occupational Health Advisor job is £55,000 to £59,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Occupational Health Service.
  • Carry out Health Surveillance, Audiometry, Spirometry and Fitness for work assessments
  • Provide health education and promotion to the client.
  • Undertake case management over the phone/in person, producing high standard and quality mreports
  • Provide clinical supervision and supporting other team members where less experienced
  • Empower Occupational Health Nurse advisors to undertake a wider range of clinical activitiesappropriate training, updating and monitoring of relevant training programmes
  • Respond to client/manager’s requests for support/information on the working environment.
  • Maintain appropriate records in line with departmental protocols on record keeping
  • Maintain valid and up to date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in reissues and clinical supervision
  • Promote equality of opportunity and providing an environment in which the dignity of individuafrom workplace harassment and bullying.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of Health Promotion initiatives in partnership with theDeveloping good working relationships and maintaining effective communications with client’s mprofessionals and external contracts
  • Provide Occupational Health employees with appropriate regular appraisals, ensuring training needs are identified and met

Requirements of the Senior Occupational Health Advisor:

  • Qualified or Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, a diploma or degree in Occupational Health is pExperience in a commercial occupational health setting, particularly with exposure to case managemesurveillance
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation
  • Approachable with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Approachable, polite and friendly to build and maintain strong working relationships and ability to wormultidisciplinary team environment
  • Adaptable
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to work
  • IT competency and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practicDemonstrates a self-motivated and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively independently and also within a team framework
  • Negotiation and motivational skills, ability to accept and deliver constructive feedback
