The salary for this permanent Employee Relations Advisor job is £32,500 per annum.

Main Duties:
- Offer expert advice and manage cases across the organisation related to disciplinary issues, grievances, formal capability/performance concerns, long-term absences, and AWOL situations, ensuring adherence to employment law, best practices, and company policies.
- Refer more complex employee relations (ER) cases to the ER Manager when necessary.
- Assist in upskilling people managers by providing training on disciplinary and grievance procedures, with a focus on their specific roles and responsibilities.
- Provide continuous and clear guidance to managers on their responsibilities throughout the process.
- Attend formal hearings as needed, offering advice and supporting managers in concluding robust and defensible outcomes.
- Undertake complex investigations, compiling evidence and mitigation to assist relevant personnel in making timely and informed decisions.
- Draft thorough, precise, and objective investigation reports, ensuring all supporting evidence is included and providing recommendations on whether disciplinary action should proceed.
- Monitor and report on case volumes, statuses, and trends, updating People Business Partners on significant or high-risk cases within their regions.
- Assist in the preparation and defence of Employment Tribunal (ET) claims, including organising necessary documentation.
- Support People Business Partners with restructuring projects, redundancies, and TUPE processes when required.
Requirements of the Employee Relations Advisor:
- Educated to degree level, NVQ equivalent, or comparable qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in an HR or Employee Relations (ER) Advisor role.
- Current knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply them effectively in practical scenarios.
- Proven experience in conducting employment investigations, including those related to grievances, disciplinary actions, and attendance management.
- Expertise in providing advice on a broad range of HR matters, covering all ER issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, and attendance management.
- Experience handling restructures, redundancies, and TUPE processes.
- Ability to review and/or experience in reviewing HR policies and procedures.
