The salary for this permanent Senior Registered Nurse job is £35,000 per annum.

Main Duties:
- Leadership and Support: Provide leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members as needed, ensuring a supportive work environment.
- Supervision and Demonstration: Guide new or less experienced employees by demonstrating tasks and overseeing daily activities.
- Educational Role: Educate service users, carers, families, and colleagues, fostering a learning environment. Share knowledge and expertise through formal and informal teaching, and mentor students by assessing their competence against established standards.
- Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete records of service user consultations, in compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures, whether in handwritten or electronic formats.
- Policy Application: Apply legal policies related to the identification and support of vulnerable adults, understanding statutory procedures and local guidance. Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery.
- Professional Development: Pursue opportunities for research and development in nursing practice. Promote the workplace as a learning environment, encouraging continuous learning and the adoption of external best practices. Identify training needs and support staff development.
- Policy Adherence: Understand and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures to ensure the safe and smooth running of the service.
- Safe Environment: Maintain a safe working environment, protect service user confidentiality, and occasionally undertake additional tasks as needed to support service operations.
Requirements of the Senior Registered Nurse:
- NMC Registered Nurse: Must hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Clinical Experience: Post-registration experience in a clinical setting.
- Mentorship Training: Completion of NMC-recognised accredited mentor training, or willingness to undertake the training.
- Professional Development: Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
