Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.9/5 and over 300 reviews is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist and to work in Addlestone, Surrey on a full-time basis as well as another Occupational Therapist on a part-time basis within a locality team.

The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapy job is £36,282 - £40,146 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Provide a professional Occupational Therapy service to adults in Surrey, their families and carers in line with national legislation, local policy and procedures
  • Promote wellbeing and independence by completing complex occupational assessments, proportionate support plans and by using specialist equipment, adaptations, skills gain and risk management programmes
  • Occupational Therapists working in adult social care services are either based in one of the community teams or in a specialist team and will be expected to work flexibly
  • Demonstrate confident and effective judgement about risk and accountability in decision making

Requirements of the Occupational Therapists:

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification (degree or diploma)
  • Have and maintain current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and adhere to the HCPC standards for conduct, performance and ethics
  • Valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle
  • Reasonable adjustments will be made for occupational therapists that have a disability to enable them to fulfil the requirements of the job
  • No direct line management responsibility, but will have the opportunity to develop supervisory skills and experience, and take on a co-ordinating and advisory role with non qualified or less experienced colleagues as required
  • Sound knowledge of social care processes and responsibilities in line with personalisation, self-directed support and person centred planning
