Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Children Residential Home Manager  to work full time based in a Children’s home in Barnet.

The salary for this permanent Children Residential Home Manager job is up to £75,070

Main Duties:

  • Co-ordinating the care plan and therapeutic support for the young people living in the residential homes.
  • Managing timely responses to referrals and appropriate matching to other young people who are residents in the units.
  • Leading all safeguarding aspects in both homes and ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities in safeguarding these young people.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in all the cases covered by the team.
  • Assessing the level of risk and/or service to be offered to users, ensuring that the highest priority work is allocated and that the safety and wellbeing of the child is secured.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant statutory and independent sector agencies.
  • Chairing reviews and meetings attended by users, colleagues, and representatives of other agencies.
  • Providing information, including written reports, to ensure effective service delivery and to influence strategy development.
  • Managing and overseeing the budget of both children’s homes in excess of £1.5m.
  • Ensuring that services are delivered in partnership with all key stakeholders to meet children’s assessed needs on a planned, holistic basis within a family setting whenever this is consistent with their best interests.

Requirements of this job:

  • Level 5 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care
  • Ability to show leadership skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
