What you will do:

- Provide professional leadership across the organisation and partnerships, advising on social work quality and overseeing the quality assurance framework to enhance practice.
- Develop strategies for recruiting and retaining a strong social care workforce, including overseeing the ASYE programme and progression pathways.
- Influence strategic decision-making with your professional expertise, informing organisational functions beyond social work boundaries.
- Identify new initiatives, legislation changes, and policy updates, ensuring they are implemented in line with best practices.
- Promote and employ research and evidence-informed practices to continuously improve social work quality and outcomes for service users.
- Champion organisational development and integration, ensuring social work issues are considered and reflected in change initiatives.
- Encourage professional scrutiny, emphasising personalisation and effective risk management principles.
- Lead the Social Work Health Check action plans and participate actively within the Quality Assurance Framework.
- Facilitate training programmes to support workforce development and maintain a strong social work voice in integrated operations with stakeholders and partners.
- Represent Bolton in regional and national PSW networks, acting as a liaison with Social Work England.
