The salary for this permanent Clinical Optometrist job is £45,000 - £52,500 per annum.

Main Duties:
- Assess and counsel patients for cataract surgery, thoroughly discussing expected outcomes.
- Clearly explain the risks and benefits of surgery in a compassionate manner, tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide continuous reassurance throughout the patient journey, from initial consultation to post-operative care.
- Ensure effective post-operative management in collaboration with medical staff.
- Perform YAG laser procedures following appropriate training.
Requirements of the Clinical Optometrist:
- GOC-registered Optometrist with a minimum of 12 months post-registration experience
- Motivated to develop professionally with a keen interest in clinical optometry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of clinical governance with a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to all patients
