Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a skilled PET-CT and CT Radiographer to join our client's esteemed imaging team. Both facilities are recognised for their outstanding services and are currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

The Role

This is a rotational position across their imaging departments at two locations. You will spend a minimum of three days a week at one of the locations. 

They are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced PET-CT or CT Radiographer to join their friendly and fast-paced imaging teams. Flexibility and adaptability to support service needs are essential. Both departments have one scanner each and offer both CT and PET-CT services.

You will actively participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to their quality improvement programme. A positive and strong team player attitude is crucial, along with substantial experience in CT and ideally PET-CT. Senior-level experience and the ability to work independently are expected. Your role will involve delivering quality diagnostic imaging, ensuring clinical safety, and maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Shift Pattern

  • Full time, 37.5 hours per week
  • 7.5 hour shifts, Monday - Friday

Principal Duties

  • Perform a wide range of PET-CT and CT procedures to a high standard.
  • Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R17.
  • Rotate between departments as required.
  • Prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.
  • Liaise with reporting consultants to discuss complex examination requests.
  • Assist with training new staff.
  • Comply with legislative and hospital policies, particularly Radiation Protection and Infection Control.
  • Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties as needed.
  • Support departmental audits in line with clinical governance policies.
  • Ensure quality assurance of equipment, report faults promptly, and implement corrective actions.
  • Work unsupervised, seeking advice from superintendents or medical staff when needed.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of new departmental policies.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care through good clinical practice.

Skills & Experience

  • BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience in CT.
  • Professional experience in PET-CT desirable.
  • Theoretical knowledge of PET-CT essential.
